Our Quilted Mirrors were featured in The Knockoff Show at Colony showroom for New York Design Week, where the designers were prompted to dispel the notion that nothing is original and that all our work is inspired by design from the past.

We considered the work of Donald Judd and Samford Biggers in the process of designing these mirrors. Donald Judd is truely unmatched in his use of simple shapes and color to create dynamic work. Samford Biggers was very formative in his process of using quilts to tell a story, so we looked at our own familial story and history of quilting. Together these two influences guided us towards these completed works by using a simple modern form combined with antique quilts that bring texture and depth.
